Arts and Economic Prosperity IV was conducted by Americans for the Arts, the nation’s leading nonprofit organization for advancing the arts in America. Established in 1960, we are dedicated to representing and serving local communities and creating opportunities for every American to participate in and appreciate all forms of the arts.
With
the support of Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum, Central Wausau Progress and the
Community Foundation of North Central Wisconsin, the Performing Arts Foundation has been honored to serve as lead sponsor, insuring that the impact of Marathon County’s vibrant cultural community has been counted in all four Arts & Economic Prosperity studies. These results prove that, even in hard times, the arts play a significant role in supporting the area job market, stabilizing our local economy and positioning it for recovery.
