Assistant Technical Director/House Audio

About the position:

The Performing Arts Foundation seeks a creative, experienced, full-time Assistant Technical Director with a strong inclination toward audio, aptitude for stage lighting, and knowledge of safety and rigging best practices. We operate the 1,200-seat historic Grand Theater in Wausau, WI, hosting over 200 events annually. This position interacts with a diverse clientele that includes touring production companies, corporate events, live music, theater, dance companies, as well as private and public gatherings of all types.

Responsibilities Include:

Installation, operation, and strike of theatrical audio, rigging, video, and lighting equipment, both facility and touring owned.  Supervision of building, equipment, and personnel as assigned.  Maintenance of facility and equipment, including painting, electrical, snow removal, and occasional cleaning.  Other duties as assigned.

Bartenders

Purpose: This position will work closely with the Director of Guest Services to operate the bar and concessions areas to the highest quality. Requirements of the position: Part-time Hourly Position as required by the event schedule.

Dress Code: No dress code is enforced for staff working prior to guest arrival. Dress code during events is black button up shirt and black pants with black shoes.

•  Responsibilities will include following recipes, providing quick, friendly, and professional service to all guests, and keeping the bar stocked and clean.

•  Provides safe service of alcohol to guests 21 and older by thoroughly checking Identification of customers to verify age requirements. 

•  Strong ability to move lines along while maintaining a guest-first attitude and demeanor. 

•  Other duties as assigned.

Support Staff

Purpose: This position will work closely with the Director of Guest Services to execute the front of house and concessions set up for events at The Grand. Requirements of the position: Part-time Hourly Position as required by the event schedule.

Dress Code: No dress code is enforced for staff working prior to guest arrival. Dress code during events is black button up shirt and black pants with black shoes.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

•  Setup crews will place tables, chairs, signage, linens and other items needed for event according to the layout provided by the Director of Guest Services.

•  On occasion setup crews will place and help stock porta bars and other items needed for the event according to instructions provided by the Director of Guest Services

•  When on duty the set up crew may be asked to meet vendors for event related deliveries.

•  Other duties as requested.
