Kelsea Ballerini Tops the Charts!

Miranda Lambert and Taylor Swift came close, but it’s Kelsea Ballerini who topped the Billboard Charts and Mediabase with her hit single “Love Me Like You Mean It.” Not since Carrie Underwood in 2006 has a female, country artist topped both charts. Kelsea will bring her number one single, plus many more, to The Grand on September 17!

Here’s what we’re hearing about this up-and-coming country star:

“In a moment thick with discussion about the presence — or lack thereof — of women on country radio, it’s not only a personal victory for the Tennessee-born songwriter, but a polite kiss-off to those who said only men can be the main ingredient in airwave success. ” – Rolling Stone

So not only was Ballerini’s No. 1 fortuitously timed, but she also made history, becoming one of less than a dozen female artists (from Trisha Yearwood to Faith Hill) to make a No. 1 solo debut on the Billboard airplay chart.” – The Washington Post

“Ballerini, 21, learned Sunday that she had reached the career milestone, something only 10 other women have accomplished.’I knew when they called, it was either going to be a no or a yes – no, we didn’t make it, or yes, we did it,’ the singer says.” – USA Today
